Customers are the heart of our business and Burma Plant Hire has recognised the significance of an all-encompassing service to strengthen and support their vision to be the leading supplier of earthmoving equipment solutions.

Managing Director Theuns Burger shares the importance of establishing a solid relationship with a customer right from the start that goes beyond more than just providing a rental service.

“We definitely provide a whole package to our customers, complete with qualified operators,” says Theuns. “We comply with all the regulatory safety standards and our equipment operators are well trained by qualified training officers. On the technical side we provide excellent service back up and are well-positioned on the sites to service our vehicles and machines – other competitors don't have that footprint.”

Theuns adds that his driven and highly motivated Leadership Team is a crucial differentiating factor that keeps Burma at the forefront of the plant hire business. Each division within the company – Safety, Finance, Human Resources, Technical, ERP, Sales and Marketing, and Operations – has adopted Patrick Lencioni’s virtues described as Humble, Hungry and Smart.

These virtues are driven by each member of the Leadership Team to their subordinates and the effectiveness who reflect and live these virtues through everything that they do.

How does Burma Plant Hire differentiate themselves from their competitors? Theuns confirms that uptime and reliability are two key reasons, while a vast range of equipment and unsurpassed technical support gives Burma the edge in the market.

“By continuously investing in low hour and new equipment we can service our clients professionally with well-maintained machines. We recently purchased six new Bell B45E ADTs and Caterpillar 950 Loaders. Our older machines are kept in optimal condition with service intervals that generally exceed OEM requirements.”

When it comes to reliability in the field, Burma has developed a model to help supply machines with low hours at relatively short notice. “Uptime is the key word in our industry and we can provide a very quick turnaround for our customers with low-hour kit readily available.”

Burma Plant Hire rents between 400 to 450 units daily, representing an array of machines ranging from 5-ton to 74-ton excavators; 18 to 45-ton ADTs; tipper trucks from 10-12 cubic metres; loaders from Caterpillar 938 to 988; telehandlers with 14-metre extension booms; and water trucks with a range from 8 000 to 30 000 litres; as well as smaller units like skid steers and 10 to 21-ton compactors with smooth drum, pad-foot drum and trash compactors.

Burma Plant Hire takes pride in our professionalism, specialising in mining, construction, general plant hire and landfill sites. How can we be of service to you?
